Collaborative Approach to
As a dedicated Counseling Intern, I am passionate about empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health, I bring a blend of academic knowledge and practical skills to my role. With a BA in Early Childhood Education and my career as a childcare provider and preschool teacher for the last three decades, my work with families has prepared me for this next exciting step in the counseling profession.
My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and non-judgment. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Through active listening and collaboration, I work with clients to explore their concerns, identify strengths, and develop effective coping strategies.
I am committed to ongoing learning and professional development, regularly seeking supervision and staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in the field of counseling. My goal is to continue growing as a counselor and advocate for mental health, making a positive impact on the lives of those I serve.
Outside of my counseling work, I enjoy reading, gaming, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in creative pursuits. I believe in the importance of self-care and strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to the counseling team here at Become Anchored and support clients on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or to schedule a counseling session. I look forward to the opportunity to work together.
