Collaborative Approach to
My journey with therapy began with the interest I have always had in mental health,
psychology, and how the mind works. It wasn’t until I went through postpartum depression that I
developed a profound appreciation for nurturing our mental health and appreciation for human
resilience.
Beginning therapy can be an unnerving task. I recognize the courage it takes to make the
first step on this pursuit, and I am here every step of the way with you. I believe that therapy is a
partnership. In our work together, I plan to use empathy and research-backed techniques and
interventions to support you on your journey. Together, we will identify and explore your goals. I
will support you and provide the tools you need to achieve your goals.
Through my master’s program, I have learned how to provide a safe, supportive space for
my clients to feel seen, heard, and accepted. I prioritize ensuring that each of my clients feels
comfortable enough to be their most authentic selves, allowing them to work towards their
goals/personal growth effectively. I also want to emphasize that this is your pursuit. If, at any
point, you gain new insight and want to explore a new direction, we will adapt our plans
accordingly. I prioritize pairing supportive, non-judgmental communication with active listening
to provide you with the opportunity to reflect on your experiences in a safe space. When working
with me, you can expect me to be supportive, understanding, and patient.
I am supervised by LPC, Emily Kipp-Wright, and attending Liberty University for my
master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
