Collaborative Approach to
My passion for Mental Health began at a very young age. Growing up I was a competitive Gymnast for 15 years, which resulted in 10 Orthopedic surgeries and being diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease. My mental health was severely affected due to no longer being able to participate in a sport that was my lifelong passion and love. The medical trauma I endured motivated me to become more in tune with my mind, body and health.
My mantra is, “With pain, comes strength.” During my times of healing and pain, I grew mentally stronger each day with the support of counseling, friends, family and practicing Art. I knew that if I could get through that, I could get through anything, which encouraged me to pursue my passion of helping others with their mental struggles.
I graduated from Southwestern University in 2016 with a BFA in Studio Arts and Psychology, then from National University in 2024 with a Master of Science in Childhood and Adolescent Developmental Psychology. I begin my Doctorate of Philosophy in Health Psychology in the Fall of 2024. Throughout my Masters program I worked for a Mental Health facility with patients who struggled with anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol addictions, relationship and marital issues, bipolar disorder, and more.
In the past I have been a K-5th Grade Art Teacher, Lead Teacher for the Gifted and Talented Program, and a Gymnastics Coach of 10+ years.
My joy in life comes from helping others, making connections, interacting with others, teaching and learning, every single day. Therefore, it would be my honor to help my future clients to overcome their daily struggles.
